Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy provides a service for children and young people with identified difficulties in functional skills. This can include seating, bathing, toileting, feeding and handwriting.

The children are seen in various settings including CDC, home, mainstream and special schools, Kimberworth Place and respite facilities. The service also work jointly with the Community Occupational Therapists assessing for appropriate housing adaptations and medical priority re-housing.

They accept medical referrals for all children but will also accept referrals for children in mainstream schools from support services based in RMBC Education.
